Birth Date

More than any other factor, age determines the cost of life insurance. Some insurance companies calculate age based on your last birthday, while others calculate age based on your nearest birthday.

For example, if you turned 34 seven months ago, some companies consider you to be 34, while to other companies you are 35, since more than six months have passed since your last birthday. Therefore, to receive an accurate quote it is important to enter your complete date of birth.

The younger and healthier you are, the lower your premiums will be, but many premiums for all ages have gone down significantly in recent years as average life expectancy has increased.
